Township Policy Changes due to Coronavirus/COVID-19 Outbreak
1. Township Offices are open.
The Township Office is now open Monday through Friday from 8am-4pm. Anyone entering the building must wear a mask, practice social distancing, and adhere to PA safety mandates for businesses conducting in-person operations. Forms for building permits, dye tests, occupancy permits, etc. are available on the website and burning permits can be requested by mail (see below). Please call 724-228-3330 with any questions.
2. Residents are strongly encouraged to pay taxes by mail.
Payments can be mailed to: Diane Smykal, North Franklin Township, 620 Franklin Farms Rd., Washington, PA 15301. In person payments will not be accepted, but a drop box is located inside the main door of the Municipal Building. Please include your phone number and enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return receipt.
3. Burning Permits are free and can be requested by email or phone.
Please send an call 724-228-3330 or send an email to email@example.com and include your name, address, phone number and the dates you wish to burn. Please note that permits will only be issued for a period of 2 weeks or less. Your permit will be issued by return email.
4. Park pavilions, walking trail, and playgrounds are now open.
Please practice social distancing – remaining at least 6 feet apart at all times. Playgrounds are not sanitized and port-a-johns are cleaned once a week. Please be prepared with hand cleanser/sanitizer and take proper precautions to ensure your safety.
